IFHS Christmas Concert - WOW it was GOOD!

David and Ben sang in there respective choirs on Wednesday night and it was MARVELOUS, the more I listen to it the more I like it. David's choir has been selected to sing in a choir festival on January 24th in Pocatello. Only a few high schools and college choirs in the state of Idaho were chosen to participate and IFHS was one.

Below is a sampler of the accapella choir numbers. I missed filming the first one and it was actually my favorite. Katie did get it on on the camcorder along with a full version of the other numbers. I chose the wrong side to film from, and as the Colonial Theatre was FULL (a facility like the Egytian theatre in Boise), I could not move to a better filming spot. Next time I will need to guess better.

Ben's choir started practicing at the beginning of Trimester (3 weeks ago). There are 20 boys in the choir (3 of them were missing due to a basketball game).

BABY, ITS COLD OUTSIDE

Yes, that's right, those are icicles hanging from the house and drain from the gutter, festive for the season don't you think? Those are the only outside decorations by the way.
I just bundle up with 3 or 4 layers, a fire, 3 heaters and I'm making it just fine. Happy Holidays!

David's Goofy Mood

I am not sure if it has been the single digit temperature's here in snow Idaho Falls driving all activities indoors, the start of a new trimester, Christmas Season, or a day at home because he was not feeling well; but David was in the funniest mood last night. It all started with standing on the couch and singing in his best opera voice with Les Miserables music turned up loud. He really sounded quite good and I would have captured it on film, but I'm sure it would have intimated him.

Next he decided to imitate cheerleading moves (after showing off his ever growing biceps) by the junior boys during the powder puff football game. My bedroom decorative pillows served as pom poms. I did get a video of it.

Then came the worm as shown below.

We ended up at the library for some books to read in front of the fire while listening to a lopsided BYU basketball game. It was a memory filled night.

Breaking News - Braces are OFF!!

Yes, you got it right. David got his braces of TODAY. He wins the award in the Fager family for having braces the longest: 3 months for the first round, 3 years and 6 months for the second round. Katie comes in a close second.

No pictures yet folks, but they'll be coming, cause he looks GREAT! He'll have to wear some pretty heavy duty retatiners until he gets 2 implants post mission, 1 on the bottom and 1 on the top; meanwhile, he'll have a small retatiner on the top with an extra tooth in it:-).

I have to decide if he is worth a couple of caps on some smaller teeth. Maybe I could get some mileage out of him for those! (Just kidding, but it will be expensive).
